Rye is an intensely flavourful grain that can be described as the secret ingredient to crafting truly amazing bread. Rye is related to wheat and has been a staple of North and Western European diets for centuries. Our Rye is organic and is proudly grown in BC. We slowly stone grind and sift our Rye at low temperature to maximize flavour and preserve nutrients. Rye is a healthy choice because of its gluten structure and high proportion of soluble fibre. “Sifted” simply means we remove the bran.
