Spelt is a flavourful ancient grain that is a distant relative of wheat. Our Spelt is organic and proudly grown in BC. We slowly stone grind our Spelt at low temperature to maximize flavour and preserve nutrients. Spelt is a popular choice for discerning bakers since it has not been subject to the hybridization efforts to improve yields like modern wheat has. “Whole” simply means we grind the entire kernel and nothing is added or removed.
